Magical Bath

One of life’s most delicious pleasures is luxuriating in a bath filled with healing herbs and soothing scents. But a long soak in the tub can do much more than cleanse your body. It can have a healing effect on your mind, heart, and soul. Submerging our bodies into a bath filled with warm water and salt is proven to be one of the best ways to restore ourselves after a long day. This health-promoting ritual soothes the muscles, hydrates the skin, detoxifies the body, and relieves internal swelling.

Studies show that regular salt soaks can work to promote our most optimum level of biological and cellular function. This ritual can also aid internal hydration while helping to replenish the body’s electrolytes. These salty soaks remove toxins from the bloodstream, with their intensive detoxification properties. Additional benefits include regulating blood sugar, improving cardiovascular health, and boosting circulatory and nerve function. Soaking in warm water with added bath salts can help to ease various types of pain by taking weight off of the joints and muscles. With chronic pain, nourishing salt baths have been proven highly effective in treating various issues including rheumatoid arthritis.

What are “Magical Baths” and how do they work?

There are two basic types of magical baths: absorbing and releasing. Both are healing, and cleansing. In order to grow we must release the toxins and absorb what is good for us.

The releasing bath is to get rid of any negativity. Negativity is toxic to your entire system, so clearing this toxic energy is an important strategy on your journey of holistic well-being.  A releasing bath may also aide in cold, mental or health issues as well.  Negativity can make you feel heavy, dark, and gloomy; feel emotionally reactive and defensive; and view the world through a mixed filter of fear, anger, and paranoia. This feelings can arise when we our bodies are out of wack and when encounter energy that is not for our highest being.

The absorbing bath is to help you  manifest and attract all positive energy to you. Think of all the things in life that you desire and what makes you happy. First, most people agree that it is important to get super duper clear on exactly what it is that you want to invite into your life. You need to be as specific as possible in describing your desired manifestation. It’s important that you are be able to imagine your wish coming true, in as clear and as vivid terms as you can. During this bath time you can manifest love, money, even problem solve. This is your time to dig deep and manifest what you want!

Lavender Magical Bath

Of course, lavender also makes the list of best bath herbs. Who doesn’t enjoy a soothing soak in lavender-scented waters? Perfect for any type of bath, lavender is a wonderful supporting player to include in most herbal blends. Use it to relax at the end of a long day.  Lavender works as an anxiolytic (an anxiety reliever) and as a sedative, to increase relaxation and calm, and help bring about sleep. Lavender interacts with the neurotransmitter GABA to help quiet the brain and nervous system activity, reducing agitation, anger, aggression, and restlessness.

Lavender Tea

Some studies suggest that consuming lavender as a tea can help digestive issues such as vomiting, nausea, intestinal gas, upset stomach, and abdominal swelling. In addition to helping with digestive problems, lavender is used to help relieve pain from headaches, sprains, toothaches, and sores. Drinking lavender tea not only helps you fall asleep at bedtime, it can also ensure that you stay asleep and get a more restful night of slumber.
